We are looking for a Production Supervisor Small – Medium Caliber Ammo. to join our company.

The Production Supervisor supervises a team of operators is to meet on-time delivery of planned Company’s programs. The incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing Small – Medium Caliber Ammunition that used with the high shooting rate weapons and guns and anti-tank rifles & cartridge used by different weapons, heavy machine gun and anti-materiel rifle cartridge which deployed on different platforms. He will be maintaining a safe and compliant area in accordance with Company’s policy and procedures as well as development of staff, cross training, staffing and managing resources in support of production.

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Coordinates with Maintenance department for all planned and unplanned services requests;
• Monitors the work of Production Operators of Small- Medium caliber Ammo. and ensures that the quality is up to the expected standards;
• Supports the R&D Manager in development of procedures and guidelines for Small- Medium caliber Ammo. Operations;
• Ensures that the daily production schedules are met while meeting safety, cost and quality objectives;
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress and resolving problems;
• Maintains test apparatus and equipment in a safe working order and visually checks serviceability prior to commencing the work;
• Develops and submits regular reports on Small – Medium Caliber Ammo. production status;
• Orders the required consumables, tools, and equipment from Stores and/or SC department;
• Works towards improving operating efficiency, reducing costs, identifying unfavorable trends and taking corrective action as required;
• Manage operators’ annual leave, overtime, and training to ensure labour is never making constraint;
• Ensure an effective shift handover and production meeting happens daily;
• Coaches and motivates workforce to achieve production goals;
• Provides functional guidance to direct reports on a periodic basis;
• Undertakes performance review and feedback for direct subordinates;
• Identifies and arranges for need based training inputs for subordinates; and
• Works within the limits of authority as defined by the Production Engineer.

Requirements

Key Accountabilities:
• An active liaison between plant management, engineering staff and operators.
• Supervision to workflow and operators
• Meet the production deadline of assigned products
• Train the production operators in all aspects of production lines
• Coordinate with HSE and QM department to ensure the production guidelines are followed

Technical Competencies:
• Solid Working knowledge of classic ammunition “Small-Medium Caliber” specialty with at least 15 years production and manufacture
• Knowledge of CAE tools and advanced engineering tactics
• Knowledge of production policies and procedures
• Knowledge of production techniques
• Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
• Risk management
• Computer literacy
• English language skills (Oral and written)

• 10 -15 Years of progressive relevant experience in a similar role
• 10+ years of experience supervising employees
• Preferred experience within classic ammunition “Small-Medium Caliber” specialty with at least 15 years proven production experience environment

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
• Technical Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical /Production)
• Or, minimum 15 years’ experience in classic ammunition “Small-Medium Caliber” environment
