Charterhouse is working with a leading agricultural products company who is looking to hire a Business Manager to join their team.
As Business Manager East Africa you will report directly to the Global Managing Director and oversee the full business function across East Africa, specialising in pesticides and feed additives.
Your main responsibilities will be to oversee the full business across the market with three distribution facilities in East Africa as well as oversee the sales teams and liaise with the procurement team in the head office. In addition you will manage the budgeting and purchasing forecasts, along with managing and monitoring the projected P&L across the three entities.

The successful candidate should have extensive experience in the African or East African market, having either lived there or travelled extensively. This role requires experience in FMCG, preferably in similar agricultural products such as pesticides and feed additives but other food experience could be considered. It is essential that you have experience across all channels. The ideal candidate has developed a career through sales and commercial roles and is now working as a Business Manager or Commercial Manager with full view across the business, you must have operational experience. This role requires a strong and patient leader, someone who is commercially minded with great strategic vision. Extensive travel and spending long periods in East Africa will be required in this role.
